Useful Things

Useful Things builds focused software tools. Our default privacy position is simple: collect as little as possible, explain what a product needs, and avoid selling or brokering personal information.

If a future Useful Things product needs account, payment, sync, analytics, or cloud features, that product will describe its data use before release.

ZoneFlow

ZoneFlow is a local-first time-zone planning app. Useful Things does not collect personal data from ZoneFlow.

Calendar access, if offered, is optional and only used when you choose calendar actions. ZoneFlow does not sell, share, or broker your calendar information.

Tally Up

Tally Up is a local-first money pipeline for active work, invoiced work, and upcoming projects. You can use the core app without creating an account.

If you choose to create an account or enable sync, Tally Up uses your email address and the tally information you enter, such as client names, project names, notes, dates, and amounts, to save and restore your tally across devices.

Google Sheets export is optional and user-initiated. Tally Up only sends export data to Google when you choose that export action. Useful Things does not sell, broker, or use Tally Up data for third-party advertising or tracking.

Website and Email

The Useful Things website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic, page views, product interest clicks, Studio Desk opens, and successful Studio Desk submissions. We do not send Studio Desk names, email addresses, professions, or message contents to Google Analytics.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and message.

The public contact address, Email Useful Things, is used for support, product questions, and beta enquiries.

Apple Services

Apps may rely on Apple platform services for distribution, crash reporting, payments, and system permissions. Apple handles that information under its own policies.

Updates

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
