Useful Things
Useful Things builds focused software tools for creative and operational work. The public website at usefulthings.app presents the studio, product pages, support information, and direct Mac software purchase paths when a product is available for sale.
By using the website, contacting support, joining a beta list, or purchasing a Useful Things product, you agree to these terms and the linked Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
Products Sold
Useful Things sells digital software products, primarily Mac utilities and focused workflow tools. Current direct-sale products are small downloadable macOS apps made by Useful Things and distributed as signed, notarized Mac downloads.
Products may include a downloadable app package, a license key, release notes, checksums, support documentation, and product updates. Unless a product page says otherwise, direct Mac products are sold as a single purchase rather than a subscription.
Some products may remain in beta, staged, or pre-release status. Those pages may show interest forms or held purchase buttons until checkout is live.
Pricing and Payment
Prices are shown on each product page before checkout. Current direct Mac products use single-payment pricing, such as $9 for Slacking Off for Mac and $9.99 for No-Fuss Downloader for Mac.
When checkout is active, payment processing, tax calculation, receipts, downloads, and license-key delivery are handled by Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy may apply its own checkout terms and privacy notices during purchase.
License
When you buy a direct Useful Things app, you receive a personal or business-use software license for that product. The license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and limited to the activation rules shown on the product or support page.
You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, rent, or offer the product as a hosted service. You may not reverse engineer or modify the software except where applicable law gives you a right to do so.
Acceptable Use
Use Useful Things products lawfully and in line with the product page. Do not use the website or products to infringe rights, bypass access controls, distribute malware, abuse support systems, or interfere with services owned by other people or companies.
Support and Updates
Support information, checksums, and release notes live at Support. Useful Things may provide product updates, fixes, or new versions, but no specific update schedule is guaranteed unless a product page states one.
Availability
Useful Things may change product pages, pause checkout links, retire beta access, update pricing, or remove unavailable products. If a purchase button says Buy soon, checkout is intentionally held and no public purchase is available from that button yet.
Warranty and Liability
Useful Things aims to ship careful, signed, notarized software. Still, products and the website are provided as available and may not be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Useful Things is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
